AeroVect Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior or Staff Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture and vehicle integration systems for our autonomous tractor platform in South San Francisco, CA.

You will lead harness design, power distribution, CAN bus topology and fault analysis across a live fleet. You will collaborate across mechanical, software, and field teams, define standards, and drive hardware bring-up, verification, and qualification for next-gen platforms in a high-stakes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical engineering in a hardware-centric domain such as automotive, autonomous vehicles, robotics, aerospace or industrial equipment.
  • Deep expertise in harness design, power distribution, CAN bus and EMC practices.
  • Ability to read, create and own complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams as a primary design deliverable.
  • Strong background in electrical fault analysis and root cause investigation with field data to design improvements.
  • Experience designing for reliability and serviceability in harsh environments.
  • Comfort across the full product lifecycle—from architecture to field deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the electrical architecture of the autonomous tractor platform end-to-end, including harness design and power distribution schematics.
  • Design, review and maintain vehicle wiring diagrams and electrical schematics for build, integration and field servicing teams.
  • Lead root cause analysis on electrical faults and system-level failures across the deployed fleet.
  • Define corrective actions from field failure analysis and translate findings into design improvements and retrofit plans.
  • Own electrical bring-up and validation for new platforms and upfits with acceptance criteria and checklists.
  • Collaborate with harness manufacturers and integration partners on build specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Drive selection and qualification of components—connectors, power electronics, vehicle controllers, embedded compute.
  • Establish electrical design standards, labeling conventions and documentation practices.
  • Partner with software and autonomy teams for hardware bring-up and sensor calibration.
