Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Junior DevOps System Administrator to support ArcGIS Enterprise deployments and mission-critical geospatial services across enterprise environments. The role involves Windows and Linux server administration, patching, PKI management, and cloud deployments, with CI/CD automation and 24x7 on-call rotation in a mixed telework environment.

The ideal candidate has DoD 8570 IAT I Level I compliance, AWS experience, and familiarity with ArcGIS Stack or related geospatial tools;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; five years of additional system administration experience may substitute.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I required; Level II desired
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers (patching, security)
• Experience renewing and replacing PKI certificates
• Windows server security tools: Nessus, UAM, CYBORGBUNNY, LATTEART

Responsibilities

• System analysis and planning for enhancements, including ArcGIS Enterprise deployments
• Production support for ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Data Store
• Troubleshooting, documenting problems and resolutions, assessing impact
• Patch management for Windows and Linux servers
• Cloud deployment and management of ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• CI/CD management and automation of updates
• Performance monitoring and optimization for infrastructure and geospatial platforms
• Infrastructure management across disconnected networks
• Continuous testing throughout development cycle
• Documentation of system, deployment and operational processes
• Support DevOps culture through automation and monitoring
