Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer to join our team supporting C5ISR systems for international partners through the Foreign Military Sales program at APG, MD. You will work with government agencies and industry leaders to deliver technology solutions that enhance global security and military readiness.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2–5+ years of engineering experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 2–5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
• Proactive attitude with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and analysis of FMS country requirements.
• Analyze contract deliverables for FMS programs including system documents and manuals.
• Vet release of FMS equipment per Security Assistance Manual.
• Conduct market research and analyze results.
• Coordinate with diverse technical teams and vendors for Security Assistance requirements.
• Apply knowledge of C5ISR systems (CNR, Sensors, SMART-T, Night Vision, IEW, satellites).
• Develop Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARP) for IDIQ contracts.
• Support documentation like J&A, sole source awards, and other actions.
• Participate in witnessing test and acceptance events.
• Travel up to 10% (OCONUS).
