The Austin, TX office of Schnabel Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Engineer to join our growing geotechnical practice. You will develop both field and analytical skills while collaborating with a strong team.

We value initiative and a desire to learn, and offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), ESOP, and paid time off. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and willingness to travel for field assignments.

Competenze

• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel, including assignments that may last several months away from the office.

Mansioni

• Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.
• Prepare complete plans and specifications to be part of construction documents.
• Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
• Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.
• Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Collect data and measurements in the field.
