Job summary
Schnabel Engineering in Chadds Ford, PA is seeking an Entry‑Level (Staff) Engineer to join our growing geotechnical practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate to develop both field and analytical skills and grow as part of a strong team.
The role offers opportunities to work on dam/hydraulic projects, perform field work, and contribute to technical reports and construction documents. Strong communication and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions under supervision of senior staff.
- Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents.
- Prepare complete plans and specifications for construction documents.
- Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
- Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways and dam components.
- Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
- Collect data and measurements in the field.
