Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an Asset Management Analyst Junior to support CBP cyber operations. You will maintain asset inventories, validate discovered assets, and assist with lifecycle tracking in a cybersecurity‑centric environment, ensuring data accuracy for compliance and operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and familiarity with asset databases or CMDB structures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) year of professional relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience performing routine asset record updates, correct discrepancies, and validate system‑discovered assets to maintain authoritative data sources.
• Foundational understanding of asset management processes, databases, or discovery tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy across large datasets.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical and operational stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of asset databases or CMDB structures.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundations, CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional), CompTIA A+.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a cybersecurity‑focused mission environment, ensuring that asset data remains reliable for operational and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and update asset inventories to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with asset lifecycle tracking (procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposition).
• Validate discovered hardware and software assets.
• Support asset reconciliation efforts and help resolve data discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing asset management reports.
