Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) seeks an Asset Management Analyst Junior to support CBP cybersecurity operations by maintaining asset inventories, validating system‑discovered assets, and assisting with lifecycle tracking.

You will work in a cybersecurity‑focused mission environment across multiple stakeholders and contribute to data accuracy and compliance. Minimum 3+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) year of professional relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience performing routine asset record updates, correct discrepancies, and validate system‑discovered assets to maintain authoritative data sources.
• Foundational understanding of asset management processes, databases, or discovery tools (training provided as needed).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy across large datasets.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical and operational stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of asset databases or CMDB structures.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundations CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) CompTIA A+ (for hardware familiarity)

Responsibilities

• Operate within a cybersecurity‑focused mission environment, ensuring that asset data remains reliable for operational and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and update asset inventories to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with asset lifecycle tracking (procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposition).
• Validate discovered hardware and software assets.
• Support asset reconciliation efforts and help resolve data discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing asset management reports.
