Job summary

Keystone is seeking a Custom Applicator/Technician to apply crop protection products and lime to labeled crops, using precise rates and field maps. You will be responsible for equipment operation, maintenance, and safety compliance while building strong customer relations at the location.

The role requires a valid driver's license, state commercial applicator certification, and the ability to obtain an Ag CDL. Teamwork and adaptability to seasonal workload are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; experience may offset.
• Valid driver’s license; must pass Motor Vehicle Review.
• Must obtain and maintain state commercial applicator certification as required by state.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Ag CDL.
• Read, count, write, and use technology to complete documentation.
• Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment.
• Familiar with crop chemicals, nutrients, farming practices, and crop characteristics.
• Willing to adapt to changing application technologies and seasonal workload variations.
• Be a team player and contribute to a successful operation.

Responsibilities

• Apply dry fertilizer and lime to crops safely and efficiently.
• Utilize application equipment to ensure correct products and rates for fields and customers.
• Assist in mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting crop protection and fertilizer products.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment prior to field applications and post-application checks.
• Maintain safety equipment, logs, and calibration/maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with OSHA, DOT, and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with scouting, product transportation, and services for customers.
