Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Custom Applicator to apply dry fertilizer and lime safely and accurately across designated fields. You will operate and maintain applicator equipment, ensuring correct product rates and comprehensive field notes for customer needs.

The role involves loading and transporting products, following all safety and regulatory rules, maintaining certifications, and supporting field operations with scouting and logistics during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Read, count and write and use technology to complete documentation.
• Familiar with crop chemicals, nutrients, farming practices and crop characteristics.
• Ability to operate applicator equipment and perform daily maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Apply dry fertilizer and lime safely and efficiently.
• Use equipment information to apply correct products at correct rates to fields.
• Assist in mixing, loading, unloading and transporting crop protection and fertilizer products.
• Follow all laws, regulations and safety rules (including PPE).
• Obtain/maintain state commercial applicator certification as required.
• Perform daily inspections and post-application checks of equipment.
• Maintain logs and calibration/maintenance of equipment.
• Rinse and wash down equipment per regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with scouting and product transportation for customers.
• Overtime may be required during peak season.
