Job summary

Americor in Irvine, CA seeks a Junior Controller to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and internal controls. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, with 2–5 years of relevant experience. CPA/CMA track is a plus, and familiarity with GAAP and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• 2–5 years of accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end closing.
• Exposure to HR/payroll processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Monitor budget variances and communicate discrepancies to management.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements in records.
• Assist with annual audits by coordinating with external auditors.
• Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll reconciliations and HR-related expenses.
