Job summary

Proteinea in Coffeyville, KS seeks a motivated Junior Contracts Engineer to support contracts and project teams in managing contractual matters for construction and engineering projects.

The role involves reviewing contracts, preparing documents, tracking obligations, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure compliance with terms and project requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, with 0-1 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 0-1 years of experience in contracts engineering.
• Experience in civil and/or architectural works is a plus.
• Experience with legal aspects of construction contracts and key contractual clauses is preferred.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and ERP/contracting systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating and maintaining subcontractor records and documents.
• Prepare RFQ packages, BOQs, and technical documents for review.
• Send RFQs to subcontractors and follow up on submitted offers.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets for received quotations.
• Support subcontractor meetings, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain communication with subcontractors regarding submissions and clarifications.
• Collect and summarize subcontractor performance evaluations from projects.
• Support contract variations, claims, and risk review documentation.
• Assist in preparing market price analysis and collecting quotations.
• Maintain organized contract files and comply with ISO procedures.
• Prepare periodic reports related to RFQs, offers, and subcontractor database updates.
• Participate in training programs and apply learned skills in daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and HSE regulations.
