NEI seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Texas to support scheduling, procurement, and submittal processes across construction projects. You will help create project schedules, monitor purchasing, and maintain project documents, while coordinating with the PM and subcontractors to keep the scope on track.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
• 0-5 years of relevant construction experience required, preferably with a CM/GC.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for the work and the construction industry is a must.
• Excellent business judgment required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to constantly multi-task and handle competing priorities between NEI business needs, organizational issues, and sound customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating project schedules; monitor the purchasing schedule and identify purchasing challenges.
• Maintain documents and materials throughout a project and procure necessary materials in a timely fashion.
• Assist in managing the submittal process and communicate with subcontractors and project team to resolve issues quickly.
• Update and maintain current financial reporting based on PM direction.
• Develop and maintain positive subcontractor relationships.
• Assist in local permitting processes.
• Support training requirements for staff.
• Assist in identifying and monitor construction risk in preconstruction and production phases.
