S&ME is a leading geotechnical, civil, environmental, and construction materials engineering firm. This full-time role offers on-site field work across multiple sites with year-round outdoor conditions and a focus on accurate testing, documentation, and data management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Willingness to obtain certifications is part of growth.
• Strong work ethic and a team mindset.
• Effective communication in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Basic math with understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units.
• Understanding of a fluctuating schedule and occasional travel.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license or IDP with driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Willingness to complete a background check, driving record check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Start with the basics: sampling and testing, then expand into soils, asphalt, and masonry.
• Earn while you learn: paid on-the-job training and certifications support.
• Outdoor work environment handling sites and crews in varying conditions.
• Testing and documentation: field and lab tests, maintain equipment, report findings.
• Inspections per codes and data management using Metafield.
