Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an entry-level engineer to support the management of construction projects. You will report to a project manager and/or a superintendent, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with plans and schedules.

Major duties include coordinating work, assisting with budgeting and cost tracking, resolving design issues and change orders, and supporting field operations to maintain quality and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
Knowledge of engineering principles.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.
Manage estimating and bidding processes and track costs to support the project budget.
Resolve and clarify design issues and field changes.
Support project managers and superintendents to ensure contract compliance and quality control.
Review drawings, specs, submittals, and change orders.
