Job summary

Blythe Construction is seeking a Construction Engineer to support heavy highway/civil and site development projects. The role reports to the Project Engineer on the jobsite and focuses on cost tracking, scheduling, submittals, and field coordination.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, strong Excel/SAP/P6 skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with field staff. This is an entry-level engineer role on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) required.
• Basic engineering knowledge in civil engineering.
• Proficient PC skills including Excel, P6 Scheduling, Bluebeam, Planswift, AGTEK, and SAP.
• Familiarity with construction industry practices.
• Effective communication with job site supervisors and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Produce labor and equipment cost reports to monitor production costs, drive billing and budgets.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly quantities to monitor production and reconcile owner quantities using Excel and SAP.
• Assist Field Engineer and Project Engineer in updating project schedule in P6.
• Initiates purchase orders, shop drawings, submittals and material deliveries.
• Prepare forecasted final cost reports; bi-monthly accumulation of costs and quantities for comparison of as-bid to as-built.
