Holland & Knight in Tampa, FL seeks a Conflicts Junior Attorney to assist with conflict resolution for new business intake, under oversight from the Firm’s Professional Standards Partner.

You will perform conflicts checks, draft waiver letters, communicate with attorneys, and help keep ethics walls and policies current.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and research skills, with the ability to work independently in a busy, compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and U.S. bar admission in a location where the firm has an office.
• Experience identifying conflicts of interest.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Process intake of prospective new clients and matters for firm attorneys.
• Perform conflicts checks, review conflict reports, and identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Communicate with affected attorneys to resolve conflicts.
• Draft waiver letters as needed to clear conflicts of interest.
• Monitor ethics rules, opinions, and case law for conflicts.
• Maintain ethical walls and other legal screens as required.
