Job summary

Holland & Knight is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join the conflicts clearing team. Based in Denver or within commuting distance, you will oversee intake, perform conflicts checks, and coordinate with attorneys to resolve conflicts of interest while ensuring compliance with ethics rules.

Periodic in-person events may be required, and the role supports new business intake across the firm. You will work under the supervision of the Professional Standards Partner and bring strong research,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with U.S. bar admission
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of conflicts of interest principles under Rules of Professional Conduct

Responsibilities

• Process the intake of prospective new clients and matters for firm attorneys
• Perform conflicts checks and review conflict reports to identify potential conflicts
• Communicate with affected attorneys to resolve conflicts and obtain due diligence for new matters
• Draft and analyze engagement or scope letters and waiver letters as needed
• Maintain ethical walls and legal screens as required
• Monitor changes in ethics rules, opinions, and case law related to conflicts of interest
