Job summary

Holland & Knight in Dallas is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to support conflicts clearing for new business intake, under the oversight of the Professional Standards Partner. The role requires periodic in-person attendance for team events and may be based within a reasonable commuting distance of any US office.

Key duties include intake processing, conflicts checks, drafting letters, maintaining ethical walls, and advising on conflicts of interest.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in the US.
• 5+ years of experience in conflicts of interest or professional responsibility.
• Experience at a large law firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process intake of prospective clients and matters for firm attorneys.
• Perform conflicts checks, review reports, identify potential conflicts.
• Communicate with attorneys to resolve conflicts.
• Draft engagement or scope letters and waiver letters as needed.
• Maintain ethical walls and legal screens; monitor ethics rules and case law.
• Assist with special projects and related duties.
