Job summary

Holland & Knight LLP in Tampa, FL is seeking a Conflicts Junior Attorney to support the conflict resolution process for new business intake under the oversight of the Firm’s Professional Standards Partner.

You will perform conflicts checks, review reports, draft waiver letters, and assist with maintaining ethical walls, while staying current on ethics rules and related case law. This position requires a JD and U.S. bar admission and offers an opportunity to grow within a respected firm.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and U.S. bar admission.
• Experience identifying conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities

• Process the intake of prospective new clients and matters.
• Perform conflicts checks, review conflict reports, and identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Communicate with affected attorneys to resolve any such conflicts.
• Draft waiver letters as needed to clear conflicts of interest.
• Erect and maintain ethical walls and other legal screens as required.
• Monitor changes in ethics rules, ethical opinions, and case law regarding conflicts of interest.
• Assist with keeping all shared documents current and accurate.
