Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks a Junior Combat Systems Engineer in Arlington, VA for on-site work. You will integrate multi-element combat weapon suites, map architectures, and verify performance through modeling and live fleet testing.

You will work with senior engineers to ensure defense technologies operate cohesively in high-stress environments and will analyze interfaces, data flows, and requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a STEM field or closely related technical discipline.
• Eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain digital system-of-systems models using SysML and tools like Cameo/MagicDraw.
• Define interfaces and data flow between weapons, radars, and shipboard C2 baselines.
• Analyze requirements and traceability across the lifecycle using tools like DOORS.
• Analyze end-to-end fire control loops from detection to intercept and review scheduling rules.
• Run digital system simulations in MATLAB or Python to support trade studies.
• Participate in end-to-end test planning, data analysis, and live-fire range support.
• Review engineering change proposals and assess impact on system behavior.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/STEM discipline
