AKRF is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer for our High Bridge, New Jersey office. The role supports design of commercial, residential, and industrial sites in New Jersey, with a collaborative team environment and opportunities for growth.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, has 0-1 years of experience, and possesses or is pursuing FE/EIT certification. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, plus strong communication skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 0-1 years of work experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Reliable transportation to access job sites with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software.
• Conduct field work such as soil testing for stormwater and septic systems, survey edits, and elevations using field equipment.
• Support site/civil design including concept plans, grading, drainage, utility design, stormwater management, and erosion control plans.
