Job summary

AKRF in High Bridge, New Jersey seeks an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Department. You will assist with designing commercial, residential, and industrial sites across New Jersey, in a collaborative environment that encourages growth.

Responsibilities include preparing documents, performing field soil testing, and contributing to site designs. FE/EIT is preferred, 0–1 year experience acceptable, with strong communication and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• 0-1 years of experience preferred.
• FE/EIT certification is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and multitasking abilities.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and modifying engineering documents (reports, plans, cost estimates).
• Conduct soil testing and field data collection for surveys and elevations.
• Support site/civil design including layout, grading, drainage, and utilities.
