Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team in the Ironbound, NJ area.

The role involves supporting site/civil/highway design tasks, preparing plans and calculations, and contributing to construction documents under the supervision of the Department Manager – Civil. The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, some internship exposure, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Previous internship experience is desirable but not required.
• Some exposure to site/civil/highway design is a plus.
• EIT is desired but not required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil/highway design including grading, roadway, storm water management, green infrastructure, water and sewer mains, signing, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Plan preparation using AutoCAD.
• Field work includes investigations, data collection, and observation of soil borings.
