Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. in Newark, NJ seeks an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our civil/ roadway design teams. You will assist with grading, drainage, and site development while supporting field data collection.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering; internship is a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office is expected. EIT is desirable but not required. Growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Internship experience desired but not required.
• Some exposure to Site/civil/highway design is a plus.
• EIT is desired but not required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil/highway design includes grading, roadway, storm water management, green infrastructure, water and sewer mains, signing, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Plan preparation using AutoCAD.
• Field work includes investigations, data collection, sign and roadway infrastructure inventory collection, and observation of soil borings.
