Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. in Newark, NJ, is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our civil, highway and infrastructure team. You will assist in site/civil/highway design, prepare calculations and reports, and develop detailed construction documents as part of design teams.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required; internship helpful; EIT desired; AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office proficiency preferred. Field work may include site investigations and data collection.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Internship experience preferred but not required.
• Some exposure to site/civil/highway design is a plus.
• EIT is desired but not required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
• MS Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil/highway design including grading, roadway, stormwater, green infrastructure, water and sewer mains.
• Preparation of calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Plan preparation using AutoCAD.
• Field work includes investigations, data collection, sign and roadway infrastructure inventory, and observation of soil borings.
