AKRF, Inc. in High Bridge, NJ, is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to support the Civil Engineering Department in designing commercial, residential, and industrial sites across New Jersey.

This on-site role offers mentorship in a collaborative team environment and exposure to diverse projects in the region. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with 0-1 years experience; FE/EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 0-1 years of work experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Field work consisting of soil testing for proposed stormwater management systems and septic systems, field edit of survey work, collection of elevations using various field equipment.
• Site/civil design including concept plans, site layout, grading, drainage, utility design, stormwater management design, landscape and lighting design, and soil erosion and sediment control plans.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 0-1 years of work experience
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Reliable transportation to access job sites, on occasion, with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Demonstrate ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with computer aided drafting software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
