Job summary

Blythe Construction is seeking a Construction Engineer in North Carolina to join the field team under the Project Engineer. This entry-level role supports cost reporting, scheduling, and field drafting tasks on heavy highway/civil projects.

You will work with Excel, SAP, and P6, preparing cost projections, submittals, and daily logs while coordinating with field staff to ensure alignment with contract drawings and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficient PC skills including Excel, P6 Scheduling, Bluebeam, Planswift, AGTEK, and SAP.
• Familiarity with construction industry practices and ability to communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Produce labor and equipment cost reports to monitor production costs, drive billing, budgets and costs to complete.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly quantities to monitor production, drive management reports and reconcile owner quantities using Excel and SAP.
• Assist in updating project schedule in P6 and prepare monthly cost and revenue projections.
• Prepare and reconcile owner pay requisitions and vendor/subcontractor pay requisitions.
