Job summary

PRECILAB, the ultra-trace contamination analysis lab of SSA, is seeking a Junior Chemist in Carrollton, TX, on-site. This hands-on bench role serves as the entry point into ultra-trace analysis, with on-the-job training and close collaboration with the Laboratory Director and QA teams.

You will prepare reagents, standards, and samples in a clean room, operate ICP-MS/OES and related instrumentation, and ensure data integrity and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science; required.
• Working understanding of laboratory operations and safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to local customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples in a clean room environment.
• Operate ICP-MS, ICP-OES, auto-titrator, and other PRECILAB instrumentation per method specifications.
• Validate analytical data and complete customer reports for review.
• Review/update SOPs and instrument operating procedures; support method development and ISO/IEC 17025 audits.
• Maintain a clean, stocked lab and assist with inventory management.
