Job summary

SPL seeks a Senior Chemist for its environmental lab in Conroe, TX. You will lead complex methods, validate data, and mentor staff while supporting ISO 17025 compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive analytical lab experience in a regulated environment.
• Advanced hands-on experience with ICP and ICP-MS instrumentation.
• Experience with analytical method development, validation/verification, transfer, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, data integrity, CAPA, and EPA methods.
• Proficiency with LIMS and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource, guiding workflows and turnaround priorities.
• Perform advanced trace metals analysis on environmental samples per EPA methods.
• Review and validate data, QA/QC, and instrument performance.
• Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods and SOPs.
• Train and mentor lab staff on methods, instrumentation, and QA/QC.
