Job summary

Scientific Safety Alliance (SSA) is seeking a Junior Chemist for its PRECILAB ultra-trace analysis lab in Carrollton, TX. This on-site role is the entry point into precision chemistry, with hands-on bench work, reagent preparation, and instrument operation.

You will work with ICP-MS, ICP-OES, IC, GC, and titration, maintaining meticulous records and contributing to ISO/IEC 17025 audits. Training occurs on the job, and occasional after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or closely related science.
• Working understanding of laboratory operations and safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to drive to local customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples in a clean room environment.
• Operate lab instrumentation per established methods and verify results.
• Record data to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and support audits.
• Maintain instrument records and perform daily calibrations and verification.
• Assist with method development, validation, and quality documentation.
