Job summary

Baralan USA, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing professional to lead the Purchasing Department activities, align supplier relationships, and implement purchasing strategies aligned with sales forecasts.

The role requires collaboration across functions to ensure timely ordering, stock management, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years in a buyer role, and strong English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for external processing, ensuring timely deliveries and stock control.
  • Monitor supplier performance and report issues to management and internal teams.
  • Define purchasing strategies for key products and stock items, coordinating with sales forecasts.
  • Oversee supplier relationships up to containerization and support intercompany relations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to resolve issues with ordered goods.
  • Coordinate with various functions to improve processes and information flow.

Role Summary:

The role aims to manage the activities related to the Purchasing Department in the areas of competence and achieve the satisfaction objectives of the Company and the colleagues who interface with the function.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (including but not limited to the following):

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for processing to be carried out externally through careful planning and order entry, monitoring of their price lists, verification of supply times and control of warehouse stock
  • Monitor and report to management any changes or unsuitability in the "performance" of suppliers, also reporting any inefficiencies to the internal sales network concerned
  • Agree with the Purchasing Department on purchasing strategies for key products and products to be managed in "Stock" with related order planning and withdrawal flow, synchronizing this activity with the sales forecasts and volumes declared by the salesperson
  • Manage Baralan USA's relationships with suppliers, taking care of the management of orders up to their containerization and supporting the Intercompany relations manager
  • Interact with Quality Control to solve problems related to the suitability of the ordered goods
  • Interact with the various functions to improve and align processes and the flow of information in the Company
  • Assisting the function manager in defining the parameters necessary for the operation of tools such as MRP and creation of related reports;
  • Deepen the knowledge of NAV procedures by finalizing it to the departmental objectives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a buyer role
