Hanover Research seeks ambitious early-career professionals to join our Business Development team in the DC area. You will partner with Sales Directors to identify senior-level decision makers, generate opportunities, and solve business challenges through data-driven research.

Located near Arlington, VA, this on-site role offers structured onboarding, mentorship, and rapid career progression with uncapped commissions and a potential six-figure income.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of work experience; leadership, sales, or internship exposure is a plus.
• Strong interest in sales, business development, or client-facing work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact to engage with potential new clients including CEOs and executives.
• Use cold-calling, emailing, and social-messaging to secure new business conversations.
• Leverage research on prospective accounts, stakeholders, industry trends, and competitors to tailor outreach.
• Help Sales Director manage the sales pipeline and achieve annual revenue goals.
• Participate in onboarding, 1:1 training, team meetings, and skill-building activities.
• Build relationships with other associates to share best practices.
• Maintain territory planning and calendar management for the Sales Director.
