Junior Bridge Design Engineer (Transportation)

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis and design of bridge elements
• Prepare cohesive and organized structural calculations
• Detailing and drafting of structural elements
• Assist with geometric layout and quantity development
• Develop task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer
• Perform tasks according to the assigned schedule and budget
• Work independently under the guidance of a Senior Engineer
• Provide direction for team members as needed
• Participate in bridge inspections, perform load rating calculations, and assist with report writing

Qualifications:

• 0-5 years of bridge engineering design experience
• B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S. preferred
• Engineer-in-Training Certification preferred, with a desire to obtain PE licensure
• Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis programs
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided drafting programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a desire to work collaboratively
