PAIGE Store Design Assistant

We are currently seeking a skilled Store Design Assistant who will report to the Director of Store Design and Visual Merchandising, as part of our dynamic team in the US.

This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop design concepts that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements for retail stores and shop in shops. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in detailed drawings to ensure precision and efficiency. This position is a contract role for one year, based in US, New York preferred. He/she will work remote majority of the time.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members to address challenges and propose creative solutions.
• Read, comprehend and interpret contracts.
• Ensure compliance with all standards and construction rules listed on lease contract.
• Maintain organized records and documentation of all design drafts and revisions.
• Review and refine models to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Utilize SketchUp and AutoCAD to create comprehensive designs.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to drafting software.
• Collaborate with architects to layout retail space.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Incorporate components into design plans to support preconstruction processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance design efficiency.
• Have a keen eye for design to furnish a space representing the brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, architecture or related projects with a strong portfolio in retail spaces.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, and AutoCAD software.
• Demonstrated experience in interior designs for commercial/retail projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, standards, and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
• Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in design and buildout process.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing design documentation.
• Familiarity with industry trends and advancements in drafting technologies.
