Job summary

Maximus seeks a Junior Biostatistician to collect, engineer, and analyze data supporting military readiness and operations. The role emphasizes building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks, and delivering predictive analytics with statistical methods and ML.

Responsibilities include creating dashboards with Power BI, developing data products, and integrating data into Power Platform solutions, while ensuring data quality and reproducibility for multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent mix of education/experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL.
• Databricks and Apache Spark (prefer PySpark).
• Foundational Python or R for analysis.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.
• Ability to translate mission needs into data requirements and insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data for stakeholders.
• Serve as data/analytic lead across multiple projects and guide product performance.
• Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights on operations and projects.
• Develop new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs.
• Segment populations from large datasets, verify data accuracy, output files per specs.
• Create and maintain documentation for data sources and transformations.
• Ad hoc tool development to support analytic needs.
• Learn emerging technologies relevant to company initiatives.
• Support team communications and strategy implementation.
• Engage in project management activities.
