Job summary

EliseAI, based in New York City, is seeking a Junior Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support collections, track slow-paying customers, and assist with billing tasks. The role strengthens our growing Accounting department and contributes to improving cash flow.

You will monitor accounts, prepare invoices, and maintain records while coordinating with Customer Success and legal teams. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented position at EliseAI's NYC headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of billing and accounts receivable experience, SaaS experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Direct, clear communicator; strong problem-solving and data handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to resolve payment issues and maintain records.
• Handle high volumes of AR and tailor collection methods per customer response.
• Prepare and distribute complex AR invoices using billing platforms.
• Maintain customer data in Salesforce, NetSuite, and other billing tools.
• Assist with portal registrations and compliance in coordination with legal and finance teams.
