Job summary

Stealth-mode Battery Startup is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design structural hardware for HV battery packs, including enclosures, trays, and covers. You will translate concepts into manufacturable hardware with input from analysis, test, and manufacturing teams.

You will create 2D drawings, apply GD&T, and develop fixtures and prototype equipment to support proof-of-concept builds and validation. The role requires strong CAD skills and hands-on fabrication knowledge.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in product, structures, or fixtures.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience with fabrication methods and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design structural components for HV battery packs within constraints.
• Create 2D drawings with GD&T and manufacturing intent.
• Develop fixtures, bucks, and test equipment for prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate designs.
