Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking engineers to design, build, and maintain software for safety-critical, real-time embedded systems supporting human spacecraft. You may be placed with a team near Kent, WA or Los Angeles, CA, working on diverse software components and verification activities.

Responsibilities include writing C/C++ and Python, developing tests, frameworks, and tools for reliable operation, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer/engineering/science or related field.
• Graduated within last year; eligible to start Fall 2027.
• Software in C/C++, Python, or C#/Java.
• Strong debugging and problem solving in C/C++.
• Experience with formalized verification (tests & reports).
• Able to work independently and in teams; inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software applications and components.
• Work on applied software development, requirements analysis, coding, testing.
• Collaborate to build verification plans, tools, and tests for safety-critical embedded software.
• Review and update software requirements and designs for verifiability.
• Write C/C++ and Python code for embedded environments.
• Design automated tests with adversarial, requirements-based approaches.
• Develop tools and infra to enable efficient build, debugging, and deployment.
