Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks an Audio Visual Technician at the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center in College Station, TX. You will set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and events, delivering professional service to clients and hotel staff.

The role requires strong customer service, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn AV technology through hands-on training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Desire and ability to learn AV technology through on-the-job training.
Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
Basic computer literacy (email, file management, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and safely handle equipment.
Ability to work flexible hours; including weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays based on event schedules.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Set up audio/visual equipment according to event orders and client needs.
Run cables, tape cords securely, and maintain safe pathways in event spaces.
Operate projectors, microphones, mixers, speakers, cameras, lighting controls, and related devices.
Troubleshoot issues and assist clients with presentations and meeting tools.
Monitor live events and adjust to ensure smooth operation.
Greet clients professionally and confirm AV requirements prior to event start.
