Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician in Jonesboro, AR. You will perform basic diagnostic and repair work, including oil changes, tire service, brakes, suspension, and alignments under supervision.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of technician experience, are comfortable with computerized diagnostic tools, hold a valid driver's license, and can work flexible schedules. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations).
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s policies and procedures and works flexible schedules, including weekends.
