Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician in Jonesboro, AR. The role involves performing basic mechanical repairs, tire services, oil changes, and routine maintenance, following inspection and repair orders, and adhering to safety guidelines.

The position requires at least 2 years of automotive technician experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a State Inspector License where applicable. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the company’s inspection and repair order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable.
