Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Owensboro, KY, seeks a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic repairs such as oil changes, tire services, brakes, and alignments. You will document vehicle conditions using our multi-point inspection program.

Requires at least 2 years of automotive experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work weekends. State Inspector license is preferred where allowed; growth opportunities and strong team support are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
• Current, valid Driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (where applicable) ethically and per guidelines
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends as needed
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s policies and handbook
