Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostic and repair work, including oil changes and tire services, and assist with light maintenance tasks. This role supports certified technicians and emphasizes safe, quality workmanship.

You will document vehicle conditions, follow inspection processes, and adhere to safety guidelines while meeting customer service expectations. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years automotive technician experience
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment
• Current, valid Driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• State Inspector License (in applicable locations) preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
