Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician in Texas to perform basic diagnostic and repair work, including oil changes, tire services, brakes, and light maintenance. You will document vehicle conditions using standard inspection and repair orders and follow safety guidelines.

The role requires at least 2 years of technician experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the company’s inspection and repair order processes.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable, following guidelines.
• Adheres to safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains flexibility in scheduling, including weekends.
• Complies with Sun Auto’s policies and handbook.
