Job summary

Plaza Tire Service, part of Sun Auto Tire & Service, is hiring an entry-level Automotive Technician to grow skills in inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs. You’ll work with experienced technicians in a structured shop environment and gain hands-on training toward advanced roles.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of automotive experience in a shop—training or equivalent accepted.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR check completed.
• State Inspector License where required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Point and Digital Vehicle Inspections, documenting findings, measurements, and photos.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil, fluids, filters, batteries, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations, and basic wear-item replacements.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues to senior/lead technician.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, bleeding, and post-repair checks.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and service advisors.
