Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Lube and Tire Technician for Plaza Tire Service locations. This entry-level role involves oil changes, tire services, basic maintenance, and Digital Vehicle Inspections, with hands-on training and opportunities to advance within the Sun Auto network.

You'll work in a fast-paced shop, follow safety procedures, and participate in ongoing development while supporting a culture that values learning, reliability, and quality work. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• The right candidate is reliable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and ready to build foundational shop skills.
• Strong interest or desire to work in the automotive repair industry.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards, and store processes.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• State Inspector License, in applicable locations, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire if required by the store.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through the proper store channels.
• Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, comply with environmental and hazardous waste requirements, and report hazards or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors, accept coaching, and participate in ongoing training and development.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, and complete other duties as assigned.
