Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Austin, TX is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic mechanical repairs, oil changes, tire services and light maintenance, documenting vehicle conditions and using diagnostic tools.

Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of technician experience, a current valid driver's license, and 18+ years old. State inspector license preferred where applicable. Benefits include Sundays off, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (where applicable) preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable and ethically.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works with flexible schedules including weekends as needed.
