Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician in Austin. The role involves basic automotive diagnostics and repairs such as oil changes, brakes, alignments, and tire work, with production-based pay and advancement opportunities.

The position requires at least 2 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain a state inspector license where required. Benefits include health, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License preferred where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using inspection or repair order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
