Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician in Texas. You will perform basic diagnostic and repair tasks including oil changes, tire services, and light maintenance, ensuring quality and safety.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, valid driver’s license, and flexibility in scheduling. Opportunities exist for advancement and growth within the Sun Auto family.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State inspector license (in applicable locations) preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection and Repair Orders.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (where applicable) following guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s policies and handbook.
