Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Texas is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic automotive services, including oil changes, tire and wheel work, brakes, suspension, and alignments. Starting pay is $15.00–$20.00 per hour.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of automotive technician experience, be able to use computerized diagnostic equipment, hold a valid driver's license, and be 18+. State Inspector License is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (in applicable locations) preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) ethically and per guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and policies.
